In October we jumped right back into Letterboxing with an event up in Orange County. This was our first event and it was great.

Okay, not really, still 4 traditional finds, though for some reason one is not showing up at AtlasQuest, and 8 virtual finds. This weekend I will plant my very first traditional box, I already have a few hitchhikers out there.

I recently stumbled upon a really cool family hobby that will assist me in keeping my kids from vegging out in front of the tv and/or playstation on the weekends. It is called letterboxing, and here is my personal stamp, which I hand carved.

Me and mine trodded along in the woods yesterday and found 3 more boxes in our immediate area!!
Our confidence is soaring and this weekend we will be hitting the open road with a picnic luch, various snacks, a state map, a compass, and our clues!
We are sure to have a wonderful adventure!
Found our 1st
On Friday me and my oldest spent $30+ at Joanne’s and walked out with 2 sketchbooks, 2 stamps, and 2 inkpads. We were all ready to start our adventure, but then I realized the time! We had some heavy duty grocery shopping to do before my other spawn got off the school bus.
